Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy, focusing on the treatment of pain and dysfunction of the musculo-skeletal system. We employ a “hands-on”, holistic approach to treatment, identifying the cause of your pain and treating accordingly. We do not under estimate the body’s ability to heal itself, but are aware that it sometimes needs a helping hand.
At the Brighton Osteopathic Clinic we endeavour to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, whilst still providing excellence in our care. We are always punctual, and with 30 minute treatment times, we will take a thorough history, do a full examination & comprehensive treatment.
Advice for your specific condition is also given. Appropriate stretching and strengthening regimes are advised, along with advice on correct posture, workplace set up (ergonomics), and diet and nutrition.
Osteopathic treatment is covered by all Private Health Funds and with our HICAPS facility you can claim for your treatment on the spot. You don’t need a referral to see us and we can provide a medical certificate if deemed appropriate. The clinic is registered for Workcover, TAC treatment and the Government’s Enhanced Primary Care program that you may be eligible for.
We specialise in treating lower back pain, sports injuries, neck and shoulder pain, headaches and migraines. Once the cause of your pain is identified, we will treat it using a variety of manual techniques including deep tissue massage and spinal manipulation. If we are unable to reduce your pain, we have a reliable medical network to help get to the root of your problem including sports and spinal specialists, surgeons, podiatrists and naturopaths. We will provide referrals for necessary further examinations such as x-rays, MRIs or ultrasounds to make sure that you receive the best care possible for your condition.

Our osteopaths are here to treat all your musculo-skeletal pain and discomfort. They are registered with the Osteopathic Registration Board of Victoria and are members of the Australian Osteopathic Association.
Our philosophy is based on identifying the cause of your pain, treating it accordingly and giving you advice on preventing recurrences. We do not believe in unnecessary on-going treatment. Some conditions only take one or two treatments to solve while others, such as complex or chronic problems, may require an on-going treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.
