Each of our osteopaths has completed extensive training at Victoria University in Melbourne, ensuring a strong knowledge base in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and injury management. Jonathan is a fully qualified Osteopath graduating from RMIT with a Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Osteopathy.
Jonathan has a keen interest in treating a range of musculoskeletal conditions including neck pain & headaches, lower back pain & sciatica, shoulder & knee pain.
He has a passion for sports injuries, having previously worked as an Osteopath for the South Melbourne Soccer Club, treating a wide range of sports-related injuries.
Jonathan uses a range of Osteopathic techniques including deep soft tissue massage, dry needling, spinal joint mobilisation, manipulation and stretching.
He is focused on the importance of listening to each patient’s individual needs, developing a personalised rehab program if required and working with them to improve their overall health & wellbeing.
Katie Palmer is a highly qualified Musculoskeletal Practitioner with experience treating patient’s across Australia and the Asian region. As a specialist in Myotherapy and Musculoskeletal pain management her particular area of focus includes trauma and
injuries associated with the neck, shoulder, elbow, TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunctions), back & hips.
Katie offers a comprehensive approach to her patient’s by using various methods of diagnostics to assess and understand the cause and effect of pain/mobility restriction whether caused by sport, injury, accident or occupational overuse. Recently Katie has returned to her home of Melbourne, bringing with her expertise from almost 15 years of working internationally. While in Hong Kong Katie was involved in the management of patient’s with severe & chronic long-term pain by collaborating with teams of leading global orthopaedic Surgeons and Pain Specialists.
Katie looks forward to bringing this experience to Brighton Osteo Clinic and helping her patient’s achieve a pain-free and balanced lifestyle.
